Abducted Delta Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ogaga Rescued

The Delta State Police with help from men, have rescued the abducted priest of Emmanuel Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Christopher Ogaga, who was released unhurt by his abductors on the 6th of September, 2018.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa confirmed the release of the priest in a chat with DAILY POST. He added that some suspects were arrested in connection with the abduction, and will be charged to court once investigation is concluded.

CP Mustafa said the Catholic priest was rescued along the Eku/Abraka expressway in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

The President of Urhobo Progress Union,UPU Youth Wing, Comrade Nicholas Omoko commended the Delta State Police Command for rescuing Rev.Fr. Christopher Ogaga, adding that the police should ensure the prosecution of the suspects, which would serve as a warning to others within the area.
