Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamawa State, Ibrahim Bilal, on the 21st of August, declared the ban of aspiration to contest all political offices except office of the Governor in the state capital.
Issuing a stern warning against declaration of interest in Yola, the state capital, Bilal said:
“Henceforth all aspirants vying for political offices such as senatorial seat and federal House of Representatives are to declare their aspirations in their various zonal offices of the party, while those aspiring for the House of Assembly are asked to make the declaration at the local government party offices across the state.”
The APC in Adamawa also directed that only the governorship aspirants are to declare their intentions at the party secretariat in the state capital.
Prior to this warning, almost all declaration by aspirants were done at the party’s state secretariat in Yola.
