A “Slick Baroness”, Folorunsho Alakija Covers Forbes Woman Africa December 2013 Issue

On the cover of December 2013/January 2014 Forbes Woman Africa magazine is Nigerian oil baroness, Folorunsho Alakija. Forbes Woman Africa spotlights the philanthropist, the entrepreneur, the mother, the wife and the woman who takes the crown as an undeniable force to be reckoned with in Africa’s economy.

Recently, 62-year-old Folorunsho Alakija, the oil baroness from Nigeria, became known as the richest black woman in the world. Alakija, however, is profoundly uncomfortable with the ‘super-rich’ tag. She believes that she is far more than just her fabulous wealth.
