Anambra House of Assembly Re-opened By Police

IMG_20181129_091957_130The Anambra House of Assembly that was sealed two weeks ago has reportedly been reopened by the police.

The house was earlier closed down after an alleged impeachment of the speaker of house, Rita Maduagwu, and the nomination of Ikem Uzoezie as Speaker followed, which lead to a rift.

In a statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, on Wednesday said the reopening of the complex was sequel to a letter from the leadership of the house, in order for legislative duties to continue.

“Meanwhile, adequate security is being provided around the complex to provide safety and security in the area” part of the statement read.
