The Nigerian Army has announced a one million Naira cash reward for anyone with useful information that could lead to the rescue of its abducted officer, reports ChannelsTV.
The Deputy Director, Public Relations of the One Mechanised Division, Colonel Usman Abdul, on Sunday disclosed that a senior army officer serving at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry Jaji in Kaduna State, Colonel SamailaInusa, had been kidnapped in Kaduna state.
Colonel Inusa was whisked away in his Mercedes-Benz car by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers around Kamazo, along Kaduna Refinery Road, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Saturday night alongside his wife who was later dropped off along the Abuja-Kaduna road.
The army is now calling on anyone with solid information as to the whereabouts of the colonel.
The reward was contained in a statement disclosed today by Colonel Usman.
The army said it would give adequate protection to anyone who could provide the required information. It also assured that such information would be treated with utmost confidentiality.
