Outgoing Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has warned that no one should fight him as he steps down as Governor. Okorocha stated that the incoming government and others should not to give him trouble when he leaves his seat as a governor, in that same vein, he promised not to trouble anyone as, as he is a man of peace.
Speaking at his final address to the state government workers on Tuesday, the Governor stated that there is a plot to pull him down in his political career. Okorocha, who has formally vacated the State Government House that same Tuesdays boasted that the people will see the ‘real Rochas’ as soon as he steps down as governor officially.
Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently said they are investigating the Governor. Also, there has been clashes between Okorocha and his APC Party.
”As I walk out of this government house, let nobody fight me and I will not fight anybody. Governor is a shield that covers every personality that is in office. When you remove the shield of the governor off my face, you will see the real Rochas. The real Rochas is still as big, if not bigger than the Rochas who was governor”.
“I have not broken the law, I only bend to achieve results. I do things the other way and I get results. I remember in 2011 when darkness ravaged and people cannot go out for fear of being kidnapped but today Imo is a secured state.’’
“So I can say that I came, I saw and I conquered. I am not here to make speeches on my achievements. I encourage you to support the new government in power.’’
“The office of the governor is a seal covering people, it is like a mask covering me and if you remove that mask you will see the real Rochas that is bigger than the governor. Let those that are fighting stop as I leave the Government House today’’
