Saturday Show on Nigerian Idol saw the eviction of the girl with 9 lives, Safeeyat whose multiple lives could not keep on the show any longer.
Star guest in the house was Dammy Krane who took to the stage with his hit single ‘My dear’. This was before the eviction started.
After reminding us what the Top 3 performed last week, along with how the judges and audience reacted to their performances, Ill Rymz invites Moses to sit as he is the first contestant to make it to the Top 2 tonight and after minutes of palpable tension, he announces that Debbie Rise will be joining him.
This means, Debbie Rise and Moses are this season’s Idol finalists and both themselves and the judges cannot hide their excitement. Before Safeeyat performs for the last time on the Idol stage, she says she is grateful to have come this far, grateful to God and the judges for giving her a second chance and she wouldn’t let her fans down.
Now, the competition is stiffer than ever with Moses and Debbie Rise in the final chapter. In ‘The Finale Chapter’ as it’s called, Moses and Debbie Rise will leave their gender differences aside and go head to head to come out on top. These two, no matter how different they obviously come across, have some things in common. They both want this more than anything in the world and they both deserve it.
Sunday show witnessed Banky W as guest Judge. He took to the stage during an interval and performed his latest hit ‘Yes/No’, as usual, he serenades the audience and they could not get enough.
For solo performance, Debbie does Destiny Child’s ‘Survivor’, Diana King’s ‘Shy Guy’, Alicia Key’s ‘Falling’ for which Banky commends her facial expressions. He says she knows how to act the part when performing and her hard work constantly shines through. Femi says she knows what suits her and she goes all out for it. Her voting number is 510.
Moses performs ‘Forget you’ by Ceelo, Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption song’ and rounded off his performance with D’Banj’s ‘Oliver Twist’. Banky W showers Moses with praises and tells him, he takes a song and makes it his own and does it so very well. Femi Kuti says he does not at all disappoint each time he steps on stage. His voting number is 518.
