The movie has been enjoying rave review and wide commendation across board, class and people.

According to media personality and TOP FM OAP, TosynBucknor in her regular column for NET Newspaper:

When you watch the movie, watch out for the girl with Lepacious Bose; she almost stole the show. A big scene-stealer was OmoniOboli herself who is a fantastic actress. Generally, ‘Being Mrs Elliott’ was an interesting movie to watch; I liked the premise, and how it was explored. I would like to see a television series based on ‘Being Mrs Elliott’ actually.

Former editor of Genevieve Magazine, Joy Isi Bewaji said:

Being MrsElliot’ is consumed as ardently as chirpy gossip over drinks and friendship, each lending its own colour and mischief. A sweet love story; genuine with a lot of faith. Omoni has proven to be a woman of many parts- a great actor and a good director. You will not miss the professional details lurking in the movie- in between phone calls and the expected filtered sounds, for one. Nollywood is not running out of breath anytime soon; it is not slowing down. Movies like ‘Being Mrs.Elliot’ show us that the race tracks are just being lined- for a marathon.
