Bestow Elan, a contemporary womens wear label is inspired by cultural awareness. Created for the discerning female, the designer behind this label Erzumah Ackerson draws her inspiration from both classic and vintage stimuli, as well as influences from her Ghanaian heritage – which in turn allows her to create garments that are often described as timeless, feminine and chic.
The former London College of Fashion student’s experiences within the industry include exhibiting her first collection in central London at Profile 4, assisting Jonathon Saunders, the print designer with his London Fashion Week debut, plus working on Russian label KISA London’s Fashion Week collection.
The designer’s experiences continue to grow, as awareness of the label increase. Bestow Elan participated in the 2010 KULTURE2COUTURE catwalk show at the V&A, the 2010 Untold’s London Fashion Week event, the 2011 Arise Magazine Fashion Week, Lagos and the 2011 Rise of the Afropolitan at the V&A Museum. A collection was also shown at the Pure Trade Show.
The label has been featured in various press and media including Studio 53 Extra and Clutch Magazine.
