According to multiple online reports, Hosni Mubarak, Egypt’s president from 1981 to 2011 has been has died at the age of 91.
Egypt’s presidency has already declared three days of national mourning, beginning on Wednesday, after state media released the news. “[Egypt is] declaring a state of general mourning throughout the nation for a period of three days for the death of former President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak.” the statement read.
Mubarak ruled Egypt for nearly three decades before being pushed out of power in 2011, following the January 25 revolutionary uprising during that same year.
