Fashion icon, Kate Moss has come a long way since she was discovered as a fashion model at Kennedy airport by Sarah Doukas. In 1990 her fashion career was born after appearing in photographer Steven Meisel’s shoot for Dolce &Gabbana, later that year she got signed in an exclusive deal with the Calvin Klein jeans. Since then she’s appeared on the cover of all the world famous magazines, you just name it and she’s been there. Fast forward 20 years, Kate has her own collection of fragrances, and has designed for collections for high street giant Topshop.
On Saturday, July 2, 2011, Kate said ‘I do!’ to the ‘Kills’ front man Jamie Hince in a village church at the Cotswolds. The bridal train consisted of 15 bridesmaids including her eight-year-old daughter, Lila Grace.
The blushing bride, 37, walked down the aisle in a vintage-style cream dress and matching floor-length veil, designed by close friend John Galliano. The dress accentuated her slim figure and the sheer skirt was embellished with gold leaf embroidery and rhinestones. For the big day, Moss wore her hair in loose waves styled by Sam McKnight and her makeup look was fresh and subtle, created by Charlotte Tilbury. Her husband Hince, shunned traditional dark colours in favour of a light blue Stefano Pilati for YSL suit, paired with sunglasses. Jess Hallett, Moss’ former casting agent and maid-of-honour donned a blue Stella McCartney creation while the 14 young bridesmaids were dressed up in white chiffon dresses with a gypsy-style neckline and matching ballet pumps.
They posed for a public shoot outside the church, after which the couple got into a waiting Rolls Royce and made their way to Moss' £2million Cotswolds home to begin a three-day reception.
In attendance was supermodel, Naomi Campbell, wearing Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, reality TV star, Kelly Osbourne and Moss’ ex-partner and father to her daughter, Jefferson Hack.
