19-year-old actress, Chloe Grace Moretz is on the cover of Complex Magazine’s latest issue.
In what makes for an interesting cover, the child star is photographed peering through a broken glass.
She told the magazine she isn’t quite ready for an Oscar yet. “I don’t want to win an Oscar right now. I don’t. I don’t deserve it. Not yet. For me right now it’s all about building my career, building my brand. If critics catch onto it and want to give me acclaim, then cool.”
On what it means to hire her for a job she says, “If you hire me, you’re not going to get some little girl that’s just going to sit there and be this puppet for whatever you want to push on society and appropriate. There have been moments where I’ve read scripts and said, ‘Look, this has got to change. It’s not like you’re being a bigot, but it’s literally that it doesn’t even click with you because you don’t deal with it. But it clicked with me and I’m telling you, as a young woman, this is what has to change.”
She also says she’d love to mirror the careers of Hollywood icons, Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock.
Chloe also opened up on a whole lot of other issues including how her brother convinced their mum to let her try acting at a very young age. Read the full story here
