Did Reekado Banks just tease a collaboration with Wizkid and got slammed for it? Yes!

Amid the ongoing Anti-brutality protests across the country, Wizkid has been very vocal online and offline, directing his anger towards the government while demanding for a reform and now he seems to have extended it to the former Mavin signee.

it all began when Banks took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon teasing that a hot-new joint single ‘Omo Olomo’ with Wizkid will be set for release at midnight, to which he generated backlash for being insensitive during this time of agitation.

However, fans were surprised after his collaborator also blasted him for promoting the collaboration while anti-police brutality protests were still going on.

The ‘Smile’ singer quoted Bank’s tweet saying, “Delete this dude! Can’t believe you’re even doing this at this at a time like this. Old song! #endsars fool!” He followed up with another now-deleted tweet where he called the ‘Katapult’ crooner a “clout animal”.

Wizkid has been very vocal about his support of the #EndSARS campaign and attended a protest held in London. Prior to that, he called out the President asking him to focus on issues affecting the country.

This led to a clash between the singer and one of the aides of the president, Lauretta Onochie. That is not the first time Wizkid is calling out the Nigerian president. In June this year, Wizkid criticised Buhari in wake of the recent killings in the country.

Ironically, Wizkid was scheduled to release his long-anticipated album “Made In Lagos” but in light of the present situation in the country, the album’s release has been postponed.
