Confirmed Coronavirus Cases Reaches 1.6 Million With Over 100,000 Deaths

Confirmed Coronavirus Cases Hit 1 Million Globally OnoBello

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases  around the world is now more than 1.6million, according to the Johns Hopkins University tracker.

The worst affected country remains Italy, with 18,849 deaths so far, according to the tally kept by the US-based university. The US is now the second worst-affected country, with 17,925 deaths. Spain is third, with 15,970 deaths.

The tracking platform also revealed that the number of deaths has passed 100,000  from the total confirmed cases which have been reported from 177 countries.

Meanwhile nearly 370,000 people have recovered from the virus. In Africa, there are now more than over 12,900 confirmed cases with Nigeria reporting a total of 305 cases.
