Lagos And Abuja Residents Defy COVID-19 Lockdown Directives OnoBello

Just a day after photos of Lagosians exercising en-masse in Gbagada area surfaced on the internet, new photos and videos of both Lagos and Abuja residents defying the lockdown order of the Federal government has gone viral.

Twitter user @Engr_Series shared a video of residents of Lagos state exercising on the now deserted Ikorodu road. Also in Abuja, a video posted by Abubakar Sidiq, the Special Assistant to the Senate President on New Media, shows people clustered in the market.

President Buhari on March 27th, gave a presidential directive that Lagos, Ogun and Abuja be on lockdown to curtail the spread of COVID-19 in the country. The lockdown is meant to expire next Monday April 13th.
