The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has confirmed the discharge of 20 more coronavirus patients after testing negative to the deadly virus.
FCT Minister, Mohammed Bello, made this known on Saturday, noting that the total number of discharged patients in the nation’s capital has risen to 459, Punch reports.
“On July 2nd, 20 #COVID19 patients were discharged from the Isolation Centres in the FCT following their successful treatment. They have now been reunited with their families.
“The total number of discharged patients in the FCT is now 459,” the Official Twitter account for the Federal Capital Territory Administration shared while urging residents to take responsibility and keep safe by observing all safety protocols outlined by health and government authorities.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported that the country’s coronavirus cases hit 27,564 on Friday with the record of 454 new infections
The health agency said 11,069 patients have been discharged across the country upon treatment and recovery from the virus.
