As the #ENDSARS, protest takes a different turn, residents stormed a warehouse for COVID-19 palliatives in the Bukuru community of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State and carted away stock stored therein.
In videos shared across social media platforms, the looters were sighted carrying bags of stock through the streets of Jos unchecked on Saturday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, It was learnt that the gained entrance into the warehouse said to belong to the State Emergency Management Agency after breaking into the premises around 9am.
Some of the items carted away include beans, noodles, sugar, salt, garri, rice and pasta. Eye-witnesses also reported that the security operatives initially tried to disperse them when they mobilised to the warehouse but could not do much as the residents resisted them.
Also in Benin, pandemonium broke out at the premises of Edo Pharmaceutical Company, located along Medical Store Road, off New Lagos Road as residents broke into the warehouse and looted palliatives suspected to have been stored by the state government.
Meanwhile in Enugu the looting was cut short after security agent stormed the location, reportedly shooting and killing two hoodlums.
