Portugese sensational footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo has hit yet another round number i his goal tally, taking it to 700 international and club goals.
Ronaldo’s successful penalty kick for Portugal vs. Ukraine on Monday was the 700th goal of his career for club and country, adding another milestone to his resume and inching him even closer to one of the few remaining goal records he has yet to achieve.
Ronaldo now has 95 career international goals, pulling within 14 of Iranian great Ali Daei’s previously unassailable record of 109. Now that mark remains in Ronaldo’s sights, even as the 34-year-old creeps toward the latter stages of his career.
Aside from his 95 international goals, Ronaldo scored 450 goals with Real Madrid, another 118 with Manchester United, 32 with his current club, Juventus, and five with his first club, Sporting CP in his native Portugal.
Ronaldo is the sixth player in the history of the game to reach the achievement, joining Pele, Gerd Muller, Ferenc Puskas, Romario and Josef Bican. Ronaldo’s chief individual rival, Lionel Messi, isn’t far behind, sitting on 672.
