Designer Biography: Wana Sambo Clothing

The Wana Sambo Brand was officially launched in December 2010 in Nigeria when the first collection was sold at the first Wana Sambo exhibition. Since then it’s been an upward journey for the young lady born in the late ‘80s as she pushed through her creativity to make a way for her designs in a world of fashion, music, and style.

Wana Sambo designs are purely African with an Urban conspiracy. This means every piece is 100% African inspired but its designs and additional western influences added make it Urban.

Wana Sambo pieces have been featured in prints which are sold within and outside Nigeria such as: Thisday Style (Nigeria/UK/South Africa), Mania Magazine (Nigeria/UK), WOW Magazine (Nigeria), Complete Fashion Magazine (Nigeria), FAB Magazine (Nigeria/UK), Tropics Magazine (South Africa) etc and various online media sites.

Wana Sambo Clothing showed support for people living with HIV/AIDS at the Project Red Fashion Show tagged “Fashion Against HIV”, graced runway shows such as the Tigo Glitz Magazine Fashion Week in Accra, Ghana and was one of the Top 12 Finalsts at MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week in Lagos, Nigeria.
