During the same period, EbonyLife Films has managed to create two of the top five highest-grossing films in the history of Nollywood with Fifty (2015) and The Wedding Party (2016). Both have spawned highly-anticipated spin-offs – Fifty, the television series, and The Wedding Party 2 – Destination Dubai, which will land in cinemas in time for Christmas.
Mo Abudu, founder and CEO, is justifiably proud of all that has been achieved in such a short time. “So many people have worked really hard to make EbonyLife a success – our talent, producers, crew and support staff. Corporate partners have been equally important and DStv has been amazing. We are so grateful that our viewers in Nigeria and across Africa have embraced our vision and appreciate the quality programmes we create for them. We are looking to the future with faith, confidence and renewed vigour.”
