Following the request of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to put the outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, on its watch list to prevent him from fleeing from the country, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) granted the request on the 16th of September.
The acting chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, communicated his request through a letter, adding that the governor is being investigated and might be a flight risk if not monitored closely.
The NCS has directed all its operatives to immediately report if Fayose is sighted trying to leave the country ether by air, land or sea.

The commission also promised not to violate the immunity of the governor should he make himself available before the expiration of his tenure.
