The 3rd Eko International Film Festival is set to hold this November, from the 5th till the 10th, at the Silverbird Galleria on Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
The annual Eko International Film festival (EKOIFF) is one of Nigeria’s leading international film festivals held in the city of Lagos with a mission to promote the appreciation of arts and culture through the motion pictures and boost tourism in Nigeria as a global village.
The first edition of the festival was held at the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas of The Palms in Lekki Lagos, in July 2012. The second edition was held in July 2011 at the Silverbird Cinemas in Victoria Island Lagos, and now the third edition is coming up from November 5-10, 2012, with films from Spain, Argentina, Switzerland, France, UK, USA, Kenya and Nigeria.
Eko International Film Festivals is organized by Supple Communications Limited, the publishers of Supple magazine, the first film festivals and culture magazine in Africa. EKOIFF was founded in 2009 by Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima, the founder and CEO of Screen Outdoor Open Air Cinema, and Hope Obioma Opara.
