While protests against police brutality sparked by notorious crimes perpetuated officials of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) started in major Nigerian cities, they have quickly spread to other countries like London, France and Germany, in a sign of just how widespread and fast-moving the movement is.

Near-daily marches, protests in London, were followed by a mild protest in front of the Nigerian Embassy in Paris, capital of France. The demonstrators moved from the Nigerian High Commission in London to Downing street yesterday and have continued protest today, according to reports from activist Reno Omokri.

In the footages shared online, they could be heard singing Eeedris Abudulkareem’s hit song “Jaga Jaga” as they demanded for change.

In Germany, the rally was held at Cologne, the country’s largest city and was supported by both white Europeans and fellow concerned Nigerians.
