#EndSARS: Governor Sanwo-Olu Swears In Lagos Judicial Panel, Commences Hearing

Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu hosted the swearing in of a Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution which he recently formed to inquire cases of human rights abuses by officials of the now-defunct police tactical unit, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The panel headed by Justice Doris Okuwobi of the Lagos State High Court was sworn in on Monday at the Lagos House, Marina. ICYMI, its main mandate is to investigate cases of rights violations by ex-SARS officers and ensure the making of restitution to the victims.

The panel’s first sitting is scheduled between 10 am and 4 pm daily, however, for today at the Head Office of the Lagos State Waterways Authority at Falomo Roundabout, in Ikoyi, Punch reports.

Among members of the panel are human rights lawyers, Messrs Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN) and also convener of the #EndSARS movement, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalinks.
