At least two Lagos #EndSARS protesters was shot by military men Tuesday evening as the city braced for a 24-hours curfew imposed by the state governor due to the reports of violence and vandalism resulting from the demonstrations.

The incident occurred at the Lekki Toll Gate as protesters attempting to block the ever-busy toll service were confronted by soldiers, according to eye witnesses. Moments after the armed men open fire, one protester who got hit was seen bleeding on the ground, as others scampered to safety.

Many videos circulating on social media show protesters scaling fences and hiding under covers for protection after the security agents arrived in combat tanks.

The protesters have also accused the Lagos state government of uninstalling the CCTV camera as well as switching off the light in order to carry out their operation efficiently.
