The MUSON (Musical Society Of Nigeria) Centre is set to flag off another edition of its annual festival of music, song, dance, and drama from October 18, 2012.
This year’s MUSON festival will feature the world-acclaimed MUSON Orchestra and Choir in Opera; The Magic Flute and Classical Concerts, a Jazz night featuring Dapo Dina, Adeniji Heavywind, SaxTee, Agbo Shadare, Pure and Simple, and Imole Afrika.
Also included in this year’s festival would be One Venue, Two Shows on Saturday, October 20 at the Shell Nigeria Hall in Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos.
There will be an opportunity for to watch the premiere of Sefi Atta’s play, ‘An Ordinary Legacy’, on the 27th of October. The play has been described as a rib-cracking commentary by the award-winning Nigerian playwright and novelist on some of the social issues currently being experienced.
The play is directed by Wole Oguntokun and will be staged twice at the Muson centre’s Agip Recital Hall.
