Art Exhibition – Africa: See You, See Me By Nigerian Curator, Awam Amkpa Opens In Rome

The art exhibition Africa: See you, see me, comes from a sentence read many years ago on a passing panel truck in the streets of Nigeria. The exhibition which opened in Rome on the 4th of May at the Officine Fotografiche in via Libetta is presented by Nigerian curator, Awam Amkpa and includes the works of many European and African photographers.

The collection of imagery includes themes from the Colonial times, urban reality of the places of origin and migration, the female theme, the relationship between the bodies and space, with war, with rituals. Apart from Awan Amkpa, works from Laura Serani, director of the Bamaki photography festival, Marco Ambrosi and Matteo Danesin, authors and Maïmouna Guerresi are displayed for the African Evangelical community of Verona.
