Hear Word! Naija Woman Talk True show has come to an but the memories of the exhilarating performances, artistry, social and commentary coupled with the true-life stories of inequality and transformation will linger in our minds for a long time.
The Theatre production premiered on May 1st, 2015 at the Muson Centre and ran subsequent productions every Friday and Saturday in the month of May including satellite performances at Oshodi underbridge and the University of Lagos.
For the Muson center show stars and elite such as Minister Of Communication Technology Omobola Johnson, Ibukun Awosika, Rita Dominic, Taiwo Ajai-Lycette, Kemmi Lala Akindoju and more gathered to see the phenomenal stage play that tells the stories of the average Nigerian woman through the powerful cast of top Nigerian actresses – Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Joke Silva, Kate Henshaw, Bimbo Akintola, Omonor, Elvina Ibru, Ufuoma McDermott, Zara Udofia, Lala Akindoju, Rita Edward, Debbie Ohiri and Odenike.
The stories are based on real life experiences. Directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa and produced by iOpenEye Ltd, Hear Word targets real issues affecting the lives of women, which limit their potential for achievement, independence, decision-making and leadership. The show delivers a better understanding of the issues faced by Nigerian women from all walks of life and shares their unique and universal challenges.
