Adebayo Oke-lawal has consistently been involved in a broad spectrum of fashion since he began designing at age 10. His work ranges from styling and designing to journalism and writing. He has worked with magazines like 234next’s Élan, WOW, FAB magazine, Ynaija and websites like 360nobs and One Nigerian Boy. He has also styled in fashion shows such as Arise Magazine Fashion Week Lagos, Music meets Runway, Lagos Fashion & Design week, and the list goes on…
It’s the impeccable style with which Adebayo Oke-Lawal is always put together that immediately arrests ones’ attention. From natural colours, bright colours and monochrome, Bayo knows how to pull off a look of effortless style. It’s not easy to achieve such style for men; you'll need creativity, an open mind and just a lot of fashion sense, according to him, “My style is playful, unique and quite quirky”.
Don’t get us started on his love for bowler hats that have become his signature. Then the John Lennon shades, scuffed shoes, colourful blazers, Adebayo Oke-Lawal is a walking wardrobe for men and our fashion icon for the month.
