Federal Government Reopens First Consultant Hospital Where Patrick Sawyer Died, Declares It Fit For Operations

This comes after rumours stating weeks back that the government was going to reopen the medical centre.

According to reports, the federal government of Nigeria has ordered the reopening of First Consultant Hospital located in Obalende, Lagos Nigeria.

This happens to be the same hospital where Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer, who brought the Ebola Virus Disease to Nigeria, was treated over a month ago.

The orders were stated in the a letter addressed to the Lagos State Ministry of Health, confirming that the hospital was licensed to continue operations, having undergone three rounds of state certified decontamination processes which was equivalent to world standards.
