London and Africa’s elite gathered together at the city’s exclusive BONHAM’S Auction House on the 4th of October to experience AFRICA NOW – an exciting showcase celebrating African music, art and fashion hosted by billionaire daughters Cuppy & Temi Otedola.
In conjunction with trustees of the Dangote Fountation and Directors of Bonhams, the exhibition featured artwork from artists El Anatsui – ‘Spirits’ (Ghanaian), Hasan El Glaoui – ‘Moroccon Riders’ (Moroccan), Walter Oltmann – ‘Larva Suit’ (South African) and Aboudia Abdoulaye Diarrassauba – ‘Globalisation’ (Ivorian) amongst others with Peju Alatise – ‘Unconscious Struggle’ (Nigerian) as the main piece.
Temi’s trendy fashion presentation was followed by sister DJ Cuppy who thrilled the huge crowd with a high energy, interactive musical set featuring a selection of Afrobeat / Pop music and was joined onstage by African dancers and talking drummers.
With their mission of bringing Africa to the world, the Otedola sisters are definitely proving why they are among the hottest industry names as evidenced by their passion and love of African music and fashion.
