Buxom Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola got legally married to her husband, Kayode Salako at the Kosofe registry in Lagos, today.
Though they had been living together for close to four years, the couple who only had a traditional marriage have now sealed their union legally.
Nollywood stars, family and friends were present to witness their union.
According to Punch, the bride spoke on why they are going to the registry saying: “We decided to go to the registry because we see it as a renewal of our love. Also, for documentation purpose, it is better we go to a marriage registry because traditional marriage is not really recognised and it does not have any certification to that effect. It is our own way of celebrating Valentine. It took us four years to decide to go to the marriage registry because we felt it was necessary to have proper documentation. We are doing this to perfect our marriage. The number of years it took us to do this does not matter as the most important thing is that we are doing it.”
As for the rumours flying about that she might be pregnant, Mrs Salako said, “I am not pregnant and I wonder who started the rumour. Even if I was pregnant, as an African woman, I will not announce it and when I eventually give birth, everybody would know.”
This would be the actress’s second marriage following her failed marriage to Tunde Sobowale, son of former Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Prof. Sobowale. Her husband, Kayode is also a divorcee.
