“Coming to America 2” has started filming and the atmosphere is filled with expectations and excitement, especially as star actor, Eddie Murphy was sighted in full kit as ‘Prince Akeem’ in his glorious costumes.
The Oscar winner was spotted holding his scripts on the set of the new movie, Coming to America 2, and was joined by Arsenio Hall – who is clearly bringing back some iconic characters as he was looking very aged after a full face of makeup.
According to Metro UK, Eddie and Arsenio, who is bringing back Rev. Brown, are currently working in Georgia and it’s the first time pictures are surfacing from the set.
Arsenio played four different characters in the first movie and was referenced as Semmi, Morris, Extremely Ugly Girl and Reverend Brown. Now, 30 years on, Arsenio will also be joined by stars including Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones and Luenell.
Morgan was also pictured on set and recently joined the cast of the hotly-anticipated sequel of the 1988 comedy movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan will play a character called Reem, a hustler who is the brother of Jones’ character, who has a one-night stand with Murphy’s alter-ego Akeem.
As well as Leslie, Wesley Snipes and Kiki Layne are among the new cast members.
