Germany Activates Flying ICU Plane To Fly COVID19 Patients From Italy

Germany has activated an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) plane to help fellow European Union member, Italy cope with its skyrocketing cases of COVID-19.

The plane, medical experts have described as the world’s best medevac for COVID patient, is an Airbus A310 MedEvac, that will be used to fly COVID-19 patients from Italy to hospitals in Germany.

The facility comes with a number of items including the intensive care ventilator, multi-function monitor, flexible bronchoscopes, portable ultrasound system, warming systems, and defibrillators. Yet still, the Plane also has a refrigerator for medical chilled goods.

Statistics collected within three months indicates that the Coronavirus death toll, worldwide as of 28th of January 2020 was, 130, and by 28th of February the number has risen to 2,900 and on 28th March 2020, the figure has risen to 30,800.
