“Coin Bag”, the second collection from Ghanaian fashion label Nuna is inspired by an old money bag owned by the grandfather of Nathaniel Nunoo, the Creative Director of the label. According to Nunoo, ‚Äúthe collection is dominated by black cotton, silk and mesh, because of the nature of the bag and an addition of African print (Davi-va) cotton, represented in yellow, red, grey and white to think outside the box what the bag contains. It was designed both in couture and flawless ready to wear. Also, the collection is aimed to bring out the inner beauty of every one‚ÄĚ.
Nuna is an acronym of the name of Nathaniel Nunoo, starting with the last name, (‚ÄúNU‚ÄĚ Nunoo- ‚ÄúNA‚ÄĚ Nathaniel). The label was officially launched in 2010 at the MWK fashion night for the Miss Ghana contestants. Nuna couture is well known for its classic ready-to-wear, menswear, womenswear and accessories.
