The arrest of a Ghanaian head pastor has gone viral on social media after being caught defying the ban on public gatherings in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
According to Pulse Ghana, Apostle Kofi Nkrumah Sarkodie was arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command for holding a church service at Open Arms Ministries in North Suntreso, Kumasi.
A video of the incident shows members almost clashing with the police as they arrested their pastor. Last Sunday, President Akufo-Addo announced a ban on all social gatherings, including churches, mosques and sporting activities as one of the measures to ensure that the novel Coronavirus does not spread further in the country.
