The 2018 GTBank Fashion Weekend kicked off on Saturday 10th November with a series of master classes, exhibition of Africa’s finest designers and some international designers who showcased their vibrant and electrifying designs on the runway.
South African designer, David Tlale ended the show on the first day in his characteristic dramatic way. Models strutted in flowing gowns and Cleopatra–like headpieces, beads, monochrome, sequins, quotes from Desmond Tutu and others on their outfits.
Yellow gowns and shirts with words reigned, much like lettering on old newspapers while dramatic hairstyles featured prominently in the collection. He also had men in robes and Y-front underwear while aroused the crowd when they walked.
