Chelsea talisman and sensational forward, Eden Hazard has hinted that he will be leaving the club after Wednesday’s 4-1 victory over Arsenal in the Europa League final. Already rumoured to be his last game for the club, the world class forward who scored twice against Arsenal might actually be leaving the Stamford Bridge this season.

“I think it’s goodbye, but in football you never know. My dream was to play in the Premier League and I did this for seven years for one of the biggest clubs in the world. So now maybe it’s time for a new challenge,” – Hazard told BT Sport after the game.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid and said he had already made up his mind about his future.

“I’ve taken my decision already. Now it depends on the club. I’m just waiting like the fans wait, so you will know in a couple of days,” he added.

“My target today was to win the trophy that’s it, that’s the only thing that was on my mind.”

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has also spoken on Hazard’s future

He said:

“I know he wants to leave and I have to respect his decision. He is a wonderful player. It took two or three months for me to understand him as a man and now I do, he’s a wonderful man.”

“He’s an extraordinary player. He is a strange boy but when he understands it is extraordinary.”

If the final in Baku was Hazard’s final match, then it brings to an end a seven-year association with Chelsea, having joined them for £32m from Lille in 2012.
