Tayo Elesin, the British Nigerian super star who has starred in widely acclaimed television soaps such as Law and Order UK, Holby City [BBC], Doctors [BBC] and many others will be in Nigeria for the critically acclaimed Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) holding in Bayelsa this weekend.
TV host and chief executive of Inspire Africa, Mo Abudu was hosted by Presidency, on a visit to formally introduce her exciting new media platform.
The primary domain of Nigerian Entertainment Today – www.thenetng.com was hacked yesterday and the hackers have demanded for $900 to restore the admin.
Kennis Music signee Jaywon has survived what would have been a fatal car accident as the car involved was left in total wreck.

British Nigerian Star Of Law And Order UK, Tayo Elesin Storms Bayelsa For AMAA 2013
Tayo Elesin, the British Nigerian super star who has starred in widely acclaimed television soaps such as Law and Order UK, Holby City [BBC], Doctors [BBC] and many others will be in Nigeria for the critically acclaimed Africa Movie Academy Awards(AMAA) holding in Bayelsa this weekend alongside another renowned British actress, Angela Dixon (Dead End with Wil Johnson; Daementia). Tayo who lives between London, UK and New York depending on where she has work studied law and has staggering LLB, LLM, MSC to her name as well as an acting career! She is one of the very few black young people making strong incursion into Hollywood, European TV and film scenes.
Her other works include: Casualty
[BBC], Acting Raw [USA/Germany], Alison Jackson , 'The Kings Speech' which is set to be released later this year]. 25, beautiful, charming and with a high level of charisma, Tayo has done several stage plays as well, She has also done various voice over work for the UK and US. She has worked in Musicals in London's West End and off-West End shows like Godspell, Pippin.
She’s coming to AMAA as one of the few Nigerians of the diaspora doing us proud abroad and establishes first hand relationships with filmmakers at home.

She was received at the presidential villa in the Federal Capital Territory by Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Dr. Reuben Abati on the 16th OF April.
Mo Abudu was commended for coming up with the new, revolutionary and eagerly anticipated EbonyLife TV Channel, Nigeria’s and Africa’s first Global Black entertainment network, creating over 700 hours of non-stop, original and premium programming to be immediately transmitted to and watched in over 46 African Countries and by over 8 million viewers; with Roll Out distribution strategy also including major international platforms in the UK, United States, Brazil, Canada and other parts of Europe.
Ms. Abudu presented a detailed brief on the channel to Dr. Abati. The channel, broadcasting from Tinapa in Cross River State is driven by a world-class team and will be targeted at young, discerning, ambitious, vocal, progressive and dynamic Global Black audience through a robust multiplicity of engaging platforms including TV, Web, Mobile, Apps and Live. Nigerian Entertainment Today’s Website Gets Hacked! Publisher Releases Statement
Yesterday, the primary domain of Nigerian Entertainment Today – www.thenetng.com was compromised by internet hackers, who criminally gained access to the servers and illegally took possession of the magazine’s identity.
The hackers immediately followed up with an email demanding for $1,200 to release the administration of the site but after negotiation through emails, they reduced their demand to $900.
NET has however resolved not to give in to the demand, Ayeni Adekunle, the publisher has this to say:
“After careful considerations, we decided yesterday, that we will not be negotiating with the hijackers, that we will not bow to these cheap internet terrorists. And we will definitely not be paying the requested ransom money ($900 as at their last email).
“We decided instead, to work with our registrar, our in-house IT team, and consultants to legitimately reclaim our domain, while setting up a new destination – www.thenetng.net as our home until this is resolved. We are aware this may take some time, but it is a sacrifice we are willing to make.”
He further talked about the forth coming 3rd NET anniversary and those who are willing to register for the upcoming Nigerian Entertainment Conference holding on Friday April 26, to email their details to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
Kennis Music Artiste Jaywon Escapes Car Accident Unscarred
Kennis Music signee Jaywon has survived what would have been a fatal car accident as the car involved was left in total wreck.
Jaywon was returning from the video shoot of his single “Catch Me If You Can” featuring Phenom and Ice Prince when the accident happened, luckily, the “This Year” singer escaped without any major injury.
He even tweeted about it through his twitter account displaying a picture of the wrecked car and thanking God.
