Personal Style: Kike Soyede - Fashion Stylist

Our interesting ‘Personal Style’ feature is back!!! This time we paid a visit to Kike Soyede’s closet and rummage through, all photographed here for your fashion inspiration delight.

Kike, a petite beauty is a Fashion Lover moonlighting as a Lawyer and is currently in Law School in Nigeria, after a degree in Law and a Masters in Intellectual Property Law.

Kike writes:
I always wanted to be a lawyer, even as child, but I always loved fashion even more. I made sure my tee - shirts and shorts matched my sandals or trainers; even as a 6 year old; much to my Mother’s frustration”. It has been a bit challenging combining my love for Law with my love for Fashion but I have enjoyed every second of it.

I run a Fashion Blog with my friend, Tobi Sotubo. In addition to this I work as a stylist and fashion consultant and I have showcased my skills at large productions such as Arise Magazine Fashion Week, Music Meets Runway and MTN Fashion & Design Week; working with designers like Obsidian, Virgos Lounge, Republic of Foreigner, Toju Foyeh, Tsemaye Binitie, Deola Sagoe and Lanre Da-Silva Ajayi.

I recently joined the Lanre Da-Silva Ajayi team as the in-house stylist after working with LDA at Arise collective during the New York Fashion Week in 2011.
I would describe my style as very open ended; I try not to restrict myself to a certain trends. When I find a new wave of inspiration, I run with it for a while. I am heavily inspired and influenced by Rihanna’s style. I think most of the time; she captures my “style”. Also, June Ambrose, Rachel Roy, Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen are inspirations of mine.
