Saturday 1st December 2012 marked the start of ‘The Holiday Season’ at luxury retailer Temple Muse.
 
Decked from Top to Toe in Red & Green, notes of Cinnamon & Pine filling the air and Christmas Favourites playing in the background, Temple Muse unraveled it’s Giant Ribbon and opened its doors to a day of Festive Cheer and Christmas Shopping. 

The Christmas Shop officially opened showcasing Luxury Crackers, Divine Christmas Candles & Yummy Confectionary, Signature Temple Muse Hampers and of course Gifts Galore for under the tree.  Also launched on the day was the Exclusive Seasonal Collections from the likes of Tiffany Amber, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi, Odio Mimonet and Iconic Invanity. 

Guests at the event toasted the start of the Christmas Season with Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Champagne & Festive Canapés while enjoying a day of merriment.

Nigerian fashion designers are making waves and being placed on a world stage with their international counterparts. To affirm this, Guaranty Trust Bank PLC in collaboration with Style House Files, a creative development agency, have announced a partnership with Selfridges UK, the famous London fashion destination voted the best department store in the world for the second time consecutively.

The partnership re-affirms the Bank’s on-going support for the growth and exposure of African fashion and Art, is tagged “Guaranty Trust Bank presents Ndani - a Style House Files Initiative”. Ndani represents the beauty of Africa and the innovative partnership entails the display of African fabrics and designs made by select fashion designers. These designers will exhibit at Selfridges on London’s Oxford Street in the UK between November 2012 and January 2013.

Participating labels include: Lagos Fashion and Design Week (LFDW) 2012 Young Designer Of The Year Finalists, AGU and House of Silk, DOT Handbags, Eki Orleans, Ituen Basi, Jewel By Lisa, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Odio Mimonet and Tiffany Amber. These designers will be showcasing their Spring Summer 2013 womenswear collection and accessories exclusively at the special Nigerian pop-up store within Selfridges during the project.

Ndani will also showcase some accessories which go beyond fashion– as beautiful and original as the fashion selection.
Prices range from £25 for an African doll by Ituen Basi to £3,180 for a gown by Lanre Da Silva Ajayi.

Ndani, the Nigerian Fashion Project at Selfridges runs from 1 December through to January 2013 in the London store’s Women’s Designer Galleries on 2.
