The Industry Nite is a periodic entertainment platform where upcoming and established artistes thrill and network with other personalities in the industry as well as meet with fans and music lovers. The April edition was held at GET Arena on the 24th of April 2013.

I Wish I Was Really Married – John Dumelo Debunks Marriage Rumours
Several blogs, last week reported that Ghanian actor John Dumelo has gotten married to a certain US based nurse, model and actress Harrinia Alexander Dembele.

The Ghanaian actor has come out to deny the media reports saying I he wished he was really married.

 “I wish I was really married…the fake marriage certificate really looks good. Thumbs up to my crew filming my clothing line documentary,” John Dumelo tweeted referring to a fake marriage certificate which was used during the filming.

Dumelo was part of a movie which was shot in the US. The movie, “One Night in Vegas” also features Yvonne Nelson and Van Vicker and this is what gave rise to the rumored marriage.

The actress, Harrinia Dembele also wrote on her Facebook; “It’s funny how media hype things up.. I am not married to this guy. We did a movie together. But I don’t even know how they spelled my name on this fake stuff.”

Jim Iyke’s Reality Show “Unscripted” Set To Premiere
Nollywood actor with the bad boy image, Jim Iyke will finally launch his reality TV show on Wednesday, April 17th. The celebrity reality TV show will highlight the lifestyle of the actor off camera.

The show is tagged “Jim Iyke Unscripted.” He has been shooting scenes of the show for some months now which has taken him to three different continents and also shot scenes while in Dubai for 2Face’s wedding.

“Unscripted” is jointly produced by Africa Magic and OH Africa TV. Both stations will air it for one year across both networks and their affiliates.  AfricaMagic Entertainment will air the first episode on the Thursday the 18th of April 2013. It has been said that the show may fetch Jim about N78Million.

According to a statement made available by Jim Iyke's media manager, Mitch Ngaman, "whether you’re a fan or a hater, you know you want to see the unscripted access into the life of Nollywood’s most enigmatic, judged and misunderstood star with the 'Bad Boy' tag."

2Face On The #1 Spot Again! Check This Week’s MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 Chart
This week, 2face returns to the number one spot after spending two weeks at a position below, displacing Psquare’s ‘Alingo’ which has fallen out of the charts.



Phyno’s “Ghostmode,” Lynxxx’s “Ezioku,” Banky W’s “Yes/No” Ice Prince’s “More” and last week’s new entrant “Gobe” by Davido all move up one spot while L.O.S’ “Bad guy P” remains on the seventh position for the second week in a row.

The chart also welcomes two entrants – Tiwa Savage’s “Without my heart” and Darey’s “Asiko” featuring Ice Prince and South Africa’s Josi.



The fifth episode for the Official Naija Top 10 and can be seen on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) on Tuesday 9 April @22.00 WAT, on AIT on Tuesday 9 April @ 21.30 WAT and STV: Thursday 11 April @ 18.00 WAT.  Next week’s chart will be released on Friday 12 April on NTA @ 23.30 WAT. In what could be described as show of intent, the management of V-Channel (channel 221 on Startimes) has engaged the services of popular blogger and media personality, Sheifunmi Yusuf.

Sheifunmi is best known for covering gossip posts on celebrities, actors, musicians and other famous faces. Sheifunmi was the official live feed blogger for the MTV Music Awards 2010, Hip Hop World Awards 2010/2012 and the Social Media Officer/On Air personality for Nigerian Idol Diaries.

V-Channel, a spanking new entertainment channel airing on Channel 221 on Cable TV, Startimes, aims at changing the phase of the entertainment world, with its diverse and exclusive packages.

Some of Nigeria's biggest entertainers have been confirmed for this year's edition of Encomium's Black and White Ball. The organisers announced today, that superstar MC/Comedian Julius Agwu will host the five-star ball, while Africa's number one DJ, the iconic Jimmy Jatt will deliver the best of Nigerian music.

One of Nigeria's greatest singers Ego (of Lagbaja fame) will also entertain guests, with rich live music from here and beyond.

’It’s simply the biggest, most exciting party of the year. We have earned the tag ‘high octane’, and we have built a reputation of promoting high fashion and unique style’ says Encomium publisher Kunle Bakare.

‘We at Encomium can’t wait to pamper you and ensure that you have the time of your life on April 14 at the Black and White Ball’ he added.

Star Quest Winner Crystals Kicks Off Lagos Club
Winner of the 2012 Star Quest Competition Crystals has kicked off a promotional tour across Lagos.

The Nigerian Breweries Plc sponsored pop band will tour clubs across Lagos to promote their debut album “Elevated.”

“Elevated,” an 11-track album, is the first from the band who had already put out two singles, “Gbe Sun Mo Mi” and “Ringtone” which have been enjoying heavy rotations on radio stations.

The tour which is a production of Now Muzik and Now Muzik En.Core kicked off on Wednesday, April 3 and ends on the Saturday, April 6, 2013.

The clubs on the list are: Sub 69 Lounge, Magodo, Ember Creek, Ikoyi, Embarssy Lounge, Akoka and The Place, Lekki.

Consisting of six members; rapper (Romeo), two female lead vocalists (Slimberry, Apholyzty), drummer (Emma Blow), keyboardist (Dammy Keys) and bass guitarist (G Base), the band since signing up with Now Muzik have performed at various shows and  are now fast becoming a prominent band in Nigeria.
