New Talent: Patrcicia Nsan Otigba Of Trish La Moore In ‘The Making’ Season 2

Patricicia Nsan Otigba is a Fine and applied Art graduate from the University of Nigeria Nsukka who majored in textile and fashion designs. She is the creative director of Trish La Moore, a new and upcoming Nigerian fashion brand.

 



Trish La moore is coined from Patricia and la mou'r (french meaning of love). The brand is known for its unique mix of brilliant colors, shapes and cut to produce a piece of art. The Trish La Moore woman is Afrocentric, fashion forward bold, young at heart and playful. Currently focusing on shoes, in the pace of one year, we have released two Ankara collections which have blown the minds of our clients. TLM hopes for a bright future in the fashion industry.

Inspired By The Beauty Of New Beginnings, Nigerian Fashion Label, Ohlanna By Zikora Debuts "Anwuli" Spring/Summer 2013 Collection, See Lookbook Photos

Inspired by the beauty of new beginnings and the distant echoes of a loved one (Nwangwu Nkoli), Anwuli evokes the vibrant spirit of resilience, great charm and poise, which are the true characteristics of the oz woman.



The collection breathes with colors reminiscent of budding plants, blooming flowers and the rainy skies, caught  on fabrics like silk chiffon, bridal satin, Chinese organza,  Ankara and raw silk. Silhouettes are replete with interesting back cuts, subtle drapery and breezy volumes which are complimented by neck pieces from the labels diffusion line



The Ohlanna by Zikora label, is temporarily based in Enugu, and through innovation and a defined aesthetic, the oz label creates cocktail, evening and bridal wear that captures all the drama, beauty and intricacies of a couture creation, but at more affordable price points.

  



The label is managed by Ikebuaku Ebuka, as creative director, and Nwagwu Ernest as business director.

New Talent: E Lalus Shoot On The Making Season 2

E Lalus is a young fashion label created by Eniola Oyindamola Laleye in July 2012.

Accordng to the designer, “My love for fashion, music, arts and crafts dates back to my childhood. I am an enthusiast, open to new ideas and adventures, Willing to learn, Hardworking, bubbly, energetic, focused, result oriented and playful. My passion for fashion keep growing as my life moves along. While at the University of Cardiff studying law, my interest in fashion peaked and I began to sketch various designs which I later began to bring to life with different fabrics. I match both my Law practice alongside my designing in the E Lalus label”

Zimbabwean Designer, Farai Simoyi’s 2013 Spring/Summer Ultra Femme Collection, See Lookbook Photos

Farai Simoyi was born in London, England, the child of Zimbabwean parents. The ULTRA FEMMé collection is a juxtaposition between a bit of edge and a bit of femininity.









According to the designer, speaking on the inspiration for the collection, “My inspiration comes from my background & a mixture of different cultures. I design as if I’m a musician on a world tour and each destination inspires a different idea. My Zimbabwean roots are instilled in me and my culture has a strong influence on how I design. My culture is full of history, life, & heart and I try to portray that in every collection I create.”
