The wife of a popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Taofeeq Akeugbagold, whose twins were kidnapped by Gunmen at their Ojoo residence in Ibadan has pleaded with the kidnappers and Oyo State Government on social media for the release of their two-year-old toddlers. 

In a video shared on Facebook, their woman who couldn’t hold back tears, revealed that she waited for 12 years before she welcomed her babies. Speaking in Yoruba, she said the abductors should please think about her and release them.

She also mentioned that her husband is ready to give them whatever they want. She appealed to all Nigerians to pray for the safe return of her children. The Husband took to his Facebook to upload videos where the mother was crying for help.

“Akeugbagold twins mother begging for the release of her twin children. Pls for God sake we will do whatever u request directly. pls be lenient with us. Tears of motherhood. ! 08035066122.” he captioned the video.

According to the cleric, the incident occurred at 8pm on Saturday, April 25, shortly after he left the house for a recording session at the studio.
