Judicial workers at state courts nationwide, who have been on strike for several weeks have been directed to resumed duties on Friday by the workers’ union, Judicial Workers Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).
According to THEWILL, a senior judicial officer attached to the Delta State judiciary said: “We got directives that the strike has been called off and that we are to resume on Friday, 13th February.
JUSUN had on January 25, 2015, suspended the strike action by its members in all federal courts only after a three-week industrial action.
The affected courts are the Federal High Court, the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court and the National Industrial Court.
The union had directed workers to down tolls following the refusal of the executive arm of government to comply with the judgment of a Federal High Court, Abuja which ordered the executive to hands off funds meant for the judiciary.
