Lagos Schools Resume August 3, Restaurants To Operate Eat-In Services At 50% Capacity

The Lagos State Government has announced that restaurants in the state will be reopened at 50 per cent capacity from August 14.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this known on Saturday, August 1, in an address where he gave updates on the efforts of the state governments on Covid-19 crisis. He noted that restaurants and other public places must maintain social distancing amid the pandemic.

The governor also explained that schools will be reopened for students in the graduating classes in the state on Monday, August 3. According to him, this will enable them to prepare for the national and region examinations including West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) administered by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).

He also announced that the ban on churches and mosques will be lifted effective from Friday, August 7 after rolling back its earlier decision to partially re-open worship, viewing and relaxation centres.
