Lallana’s Late Goal Earns Liverpool A Draw Against Man Utd

Man United and Liverpool have drawn 1-1 in a thrilling encounter at Old Trafford. A Late equaliser from Adam Lallana cancelled Marcus Rashford’s initial goal, retaining Liverpool’s position on top.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had a glorious chance to open the scoring in the 34th minute but Roberto Firmino produced a tame shot after being found inside the area by Sadio Mane.

And Marcus Rashford made Firmino pay by giving United the lead just two minutes later.

The England striker turned home from close range after getting on the end of Daniel James’ superb cross.

The goal was reviewed by VAR – Victor Lindelof appeared to foul Divock Origi in the build-up – but it was allowed to stand, much to Klopp’s frustration.

The German was livid, letting his anger out at the fourth official.

And he was even more furious when Sadio Mane had a goal ruled out by VAR just minutes later.

Liverpool weren’t ready to relinquish their unbeaten record in the league and Lallana scored from close range in the 85th minute to level the scores at 1-1.

It was his first goal since May 2017. And what a time to do it.
