An Africa-inspired health & beauty brand and social business Aduna, co-founded by Saïd Business School alumnus Andrew Hunt, has reached the semi-finals of Virgin’s ‘Pitch to Rich’ competition with a chance to win a £250k marketing campaign.
Aduna, has beaten 2,500 UK companies to reach the semi-finals and has until 16th June to win the British public’s vote and reach the final where they will pitch to Richard Branson for the prize.
Aduna’s mission is to create demand for under-utilised natural products from small-scale producers in Africa – starting with the extraordinary superfruit ‘baobab’. The business is scaling both domestically and internationally and was recently runner up for three Guardian Sustainable Business Awards.
