The Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a Nigerian non-profit organization, held its annual conference which seeks to empower individuals, businesses, private and public corporate organizations on November 4th-5th, 2013 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State, Nigeria.
The 2013 Annual Conference was themed around “The New Economy…Are you Plugged In?”, and the conference examined and provided insights on how individuals, businesses, corporate and public organisations can stay ahead of the curve in light of a rapidly changing global, economic and socio-political landscape.
The conference chairperson was Aloma Mukhtar, the chief justice of Nigeria (CJN), while the keynote speakers included Omobola Johnson, minister of Communications Technology, and Bode Agusto, chairman, Agusto & Co.
Other notable speakers included Mo Abudu, founder, Ebony Life TV; Bolaji Balogun, MD/CEO, ChapelHill Denham; Frank Nweke (Jr), DG, Nigerian Economic Summit Group; Jumoke Adenowo, principal partner, AD Consulting; Ini Onuk, lead consultant/CEO, ThistlePraxis Consulting Limited; Udo Maryanne Okonjo, CEO, Fine & Country, among others.
