Michael Schumacher was today moved to a rehab clinic barely 20 miles from the spot where he was thrown into a coma and a 170-day fight for life.
According to The Mirror, the F1 legend was transferred to a specialist clinic in Lausanne, not far from his home – and the alpine ski slope where he crashed on a Christmas skiing trip with his family.
Manager Sabine Khem said he had been switched from the French hospital in Grenoble he had been helicoptered to after suffering life-threatening injuries on December 29.
She said the transfer was “to continue his long phase of rehabilitation”.
She added: “ He is not in a coma anymore.”
